Coloring Maps and the Kowalski Doctrine

چکیده

It is attractive to regard an algorithm as composed of the logic determining what the results are and the control determining how the result is obtained. Logic programmers like to regard programming as controlled deduction, and there have been several proposals for controlling the deduction expressed by a Prolog program and not always using Prolog’s normal backtracking algorithm. The present note discusses a map coloring program proposed by Pereira and Porto and two coloring algorithms that can be regarded as control applied to its logic. However, the control mechanisms required go far beyond those that have been contemplated in the Prolog literature. Robert Kowalski (1979) enunciated the doctrine expressed by the formula 1 ALGORITHM = LOGIC + CONTROL The formula isn’t precise, and it won’t be precise until someone proposes a precise and generally accepted notion of how control is to be added to an expression of the logic of a program. Nevertheless, the idea is attractive, and

A practical algorithm for [r, s, t]-coloring of graph

Coloring graphs is one of important and frequently used topics in diverse sciences. In the majority of the articles, it is intended to find a proper bound for vertex coloring, edge coloring or total coloring in the graph. Although it is important to find a proper algorithm for graph coloring, it is hard and time-consuming too. In this paper, a new algorithm for vertex coloring, edge coloring an...

Graph Coloring with web Mathematica

Coloring of a graph is an assignment of colors either to the edges of the graph G, or to vertices, or to maps in such a way that adjacent edges/vertices/maps are colored differently. We consider the problem of coloring graphs by using webMathematica which is the new web-based technology. In this paper, we describe some web-based interactive examples on graph coloring with webMathematica.

The Doctrine of Robubi Monotheism in Qalam Surah

The most important God's aim by revelation of the Holy Quran is leading the human to the right path, and monotheism is the most fundamental doctrine in this path which is the foundation of all the rest of educations in the Quran and its end is leading humankind to happiness. The foundation of monotheistic knowledge in realization of this aim is divinely monotheism which is based on Robubi monot...

Lifted Domain Coloring

Complex-valued functions are fundamental objects in complex analysis, algebra, differential geometry and in many other areas such as numerical mathematics and physics. Visualizing complex functions is a non-trivial task since maps between two-dimensional spaces are involved whose graph would be an unhandy submanifold in four-dimensional space. The present paper improves the technique of “domain...

Reduction of 4-methylimidazole in caramel coloring by ɣ-irradiation

4-Methylimidazole (4-MEI) is a simple nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound, and recently classified as group 2B by International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). Caramel coloring is widely applied food coloring in many food products including coffee, carbonated beverages, beer and wine. In present study, ɣ-irradiation was applied to Caramel Color III to reduce the level of 4-MEI witho...
